VOSA the Vehicle & Operators Services Agency, the regulatory arm of the UK Ministry of Transport have stringent new regulations governing the hire of all limousines imported to the UK.

Vehicles constructed or adapted to carry more than 8 passengers require a PSV Operator's Licence.  For vehicles constructed or adapted to carry more than 8 passengers used to carry passengers for hire or reward, the licence required is a public service vehicle (PSV) operator's licence granted by the Traffic Commissioner.

Vehicles constructed or adapted to carry 8 passengers or fewer, require either a private hire vehicle (PHV) licence or a Public Service Vehicle (PSV) operator's licence: which must now meet the standards laid down in Law before they can be hired for public transport on our roads.

Our Stretched Limos meet these requirements (at a cost of around £20,000 per Limo to Direct Limos), so that you are not only safe but also legally insured when you and your guests hire our Limos.

This is not always the case with many Limo companies who use various loop-holes to evade these necessary requirements and place their clients unknowingly at risk.  For peace of mind ask about these requirements when making your Limo hire booking.  We never compromise our clients' safety.  You may only find out that you are not covered in the event of an accident and the insurance company refuses to pay up because of legal infringements.
